NFFE’s Other Donations & Activities program embodies our commitment to respond quickly and compassionately to diverse community needs. Beyond major initiatives, this flexible support covers school rebuilding, emergency aid, grassroots projects, and one-time donations—addressing vital causes that don’t fit into formal programs.

Why This Matters

Papua New Guinea faces many challenges like natural disasters and economic hardship that require swift action. NFFE’s Other Donations & Activities program ensures we stay agile and responsive, addressing urgent needs and extending our impact beyond education to support community well-being, safety, and opportunity.

What We Support

This project covers a wide and evolving list of donations, projects, and one-off interventions. Some of the activities we’ve supported in recent years include:

School Rebuilds & Classroom Equipment

Support for schools affected by storms and floods
Replacing damaged whiteboards, desks, and chairs
Donation of roofing sheets and paint for classroom repairs

Food & Essentials for Disadvantaged Groups

Food packs distributed to elderly care homes
Support for settlement families during times of crisis
Meals donated during national holiday outreach campaigns

Emergency Student Support

Emergency scholarships for students who lost parents or guardians
One-time assistance with registration fees for students unable to complete enrolment
Donation of used laptops to final-year students for project completion

Community Outreach & Awareness Events

Sponsorship of women’s and youth empowerment seminars
Participation in village-led clean-up and environmental drives
Logistics support for health fairs, blood drives, and village markets

Festive & Cultural Contributions

Donation of Christmas gifts to orphanages

Our Impact

In the past three years, over 100 schools and individuals received one-time donations, emergency aid was provided within 7 days during disasters, thousands of meals were distributed, and hundreds of students received short-term support to remain in school.
