The Governor General Fundraising – Cheshire Disability Services partnership, supported by the Nadesalingam Foundation for Education (NFFE) and the Governor General of Papua New Guinea, raises vital funds to deliver food, healthcare, inclusive education, and social support for persons with disabilities. By sponsoring this national event, NFFE affirms its commitment to ensuring dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all, regardless of physical or intellectual challenges.

Why This Project Matters

For decades, Cheshire Disability Services PNG has provided shelter, healthcare, education, and rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities. Many face barriers such as social exclusion, poor accessibility, limited jobs, and financial hardship. With the Governor General’s leadership, this annual fundraising event supports essential programs—from primary healthcare and inclusive education to residential care and youth development—ensuring lives are not only sustained but uplifted.

Our Support at Cheshire Home

Through its sponsorship, NFFE helps strengthen the reach and sustainability of Cheshire’s programs, ensuring that funding and in-kind contributions meet critical needs outlined in the annual fundraising plan.

  • Food & Essential Supplies
    • Regular provision of rice, flour, tinned food, vegetables, and oil
    • Hygiene packs, cleaning items, and basic healthcare products
    • Support for meals during community and residential events
  • Operational & Facility Support
    • Contributions towards utilities such as water, power, and security
    • Support for facility upgrades, maintenance, and equipment
    • Assistance for mobility aids, rehabilitation, and medical supplies
