IBSUniversity signed Scholarship MoU with Malolo International High School
[Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – 10th June 2026] – IBSUniversity (IBSU), has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malolo International High School to offer scholarships for high-achieving Grade 12 students, through the Nadesalingam Foundation for Education (NFFE).
This initiative forms part of IBSUniversity’s broader strategy to strengthen access to higher education through formal partnerships with secondary schools across the National Capital District. Malolo International is the third private secondary school to enter the scholarship partnership with IBSUniversity
IBSUniversity will offer merit-based scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees, valued at up to K70,400 over four years, subject to terms and conditions of the MoU to top-performing students.
Welcoming Malolo International to the partnership, Mr. Sagara Wijeratne, Director of Institutional Development at IBSUniversity, said, “IBSUniversity and Malolo International has a common purpose, that is to educate and train young people, and this is in line with IBSUniversity vision, ‘to enrich lives, through world class education, training and research,’ so we believe through this partnership, students of Malolo International High will receive immense support to have access to IBSUniversity programmes and pathway programme from the IBS college of TVET.”
He added:
“Also teachers of Malolo International will receive opportunities in their career development.”
Mrs. Nombri, Director and Advisor for the Malolo International School, acknowledged the partnership saying, “We are blessed to come on board the Nadesalingam Foundation for Education scholarship programme, with the understanding that IBSUniversity provides excellent opportunities for our students, we decided to come into this agreement. I believe, now our students will have access to world class education”
Malolo International High School, located in Malolo Estate, 8 mile is the third private secondary school who have come on board for the scholarship MoU this year, with additional MoU signings expected in the coming months. Looking ahead, IBSUniversity also plans to extend this scholarship programme to secondary schools in other provinces across the country, further widening access to quality tertiary education.
